-married to Marion Laub, former German swimmer and swimming coach; they have one son.

As a swimmer...
Set 3 Argentina national records in relays while swimming from his club, Ateneo de la Juventud, from 1965 to 1975.

As a coach...
He has coached at:
-Ateneo de la Juventud (1975-1986),
-University of Buenos Aires (1986-1988)
-Obras Sanitarias (1988-1997)
-Buenos Aires Swimming (1997-1999).
During this time, his swimmers broke more than 1,100 Argentine and South American records; 7 swam to top-20 World Rankings, and his teams achieved 28 national and metropolitan titles.

Other highlights...
• Argentina's National Head Coach for 16 international events
• President of Swimming and Life Foundation (1992-present)
• has edited two books: Swimming I in 1997 and Swimming II Coaching in 1999
• National Coordinator, Argentine Swimming Confederation (1995-present). During this tenure, Argentina had its first swimming Olympic medal since the 1936 Olympics; 10 Pan American medals, and had 30 top-3 finishes on the World Cup circuit.
