In
1987, at the age of twenty-three, Coach Kemmerling founded Eastern Express
Swimming, a small team of about 75 swimmers in the Trenton-Princeton area
of Central New Jersey. Over the past 15 years, four athletes that were
developed in the Express program have become members of USA National
Teams, and Express swimmers have established nearly 80 New Jersey Swimming
LSC records. Coach Kemmerling's coaching style is built around technique
enhancement, and in recent years he has developed a new approach to
technique improvement known as 'Stroke Shaping'.
