Rick Eagleston

Rick is currently owner and chief of clinical rehabilitation at S.T.A.R. Physical Therapy in Redwood City, California. He has nearly 30 years of experience in sports and orthopedic physical therapy, as well as athletic training. Both his Bachelor and Master degrees are from Stanford University.  Rick is licensed as a Registered Physical Therapist and he is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association.

During his career, Rick has been a speaker at numerous national an international conferences. He is the author and co-author and many articles related to physical therapy rehabilitation. Additionally, he has participated in the publication of papers related to aquatic rehabilitation of spine and other orthopedic problems.

Rick has an extensive swimming background. He is an alumnus of Santa Clara Swim Club. Under Coach George Haines, he became a multiple high school All-American. Attending Stanford University, Rick was a member of both the swim and water polo teams, lettering all four years in each sport. He achieved college All-American honors. Today, Masters swimming remains a passion. Missing a workout ruins his day.

In addition to his private practice, Rick is in his eighteenth year as medical consultant to the Stanford Men's Swim Team. He participates in USA Swimming through various committee assignments and is currently the Vice President of USA Swimming Sports Medicine Society.
