Peter Malone

 

Head Coach and General Manager, Pete Malone, is a graduate of the University of Toledo in Business Management and also has an Education Degree. Before coming to the KC Blazers, Pete coached the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club from 1968 to 1975. Some of Coach Malone’s many accomplishments/positions include:

  • Chairman, National Time Standards Committee, Member Olympic International Division 1984-2000
  • Consulting Coach to the 1988, 1992, and 1996 U.S. Olympic Teams
  • Assistant Coach, USA National Team, 1981, 1985, 1988, 1991, and 1993
  • Head Coach, United States National Team, 1994 World Championships
  • Head Coach, 1996 United States National Junior Team
  • Awarded Certificates of Excellence by American Swimming Coaches Association in 1977 through present, including the Gold Certificate Award for over 20 years of National level coaching achievement
  • Missouri Valley Swimming, Age Group Chairman, 1977-1980
  • Missouri Valley Swimming, Senior Chairman, 1981-1983
