BIO
After placing 3rd at the 1988 US Olympic Trials, I went on to earn a master degree in nutritional sciences with a concentrated effort in Sports Nutrition. I started my own sports nutrition consulting business called Nutrition Intuition to educate young athletes about sports nutrition for improved performance'. After several years working as a consultant, I accepted the position of Sports Nutritionist at the United States Naval Academy. 1 use my athletic and educational background to provide proper nutrition education to enhance performance for the future leaders of the Navy's submarine fleet, surface warfare fleet, flight school, special ops, Seals training and Marines.

Nutrition for a Multi-Day Championship Meet
Learn how to feed your athletes during a championship meet. A season's worth of training comes down to one meet. The physical and mental demands of a championship meet are difficult enough for any swimmer, but how many times have you watched your athlete hit the wall at the big meet? Nutrition leading up to and during the meet can ultimately determine the outcome. Learn what your athletes should eat prior to warm-up, after warm-up, immediately after a morning swim, between prelims and finals, and hour before the swim at finals, and what to eat after finals to help prepare them to do it again the next day.

Nutrition for Training Age Group Swimmers 
Many athletes request a meeting the week prior to the big meet but proper nutrition can have a larger impact during training. Nutrition can be divided into three topics: Type of Calories, Timing of Calories, and Total Amount of Calories. Help educate your athletes use this information to learn how to stop feeding fat cells and help feed muscle cells for better performance.
