  • BS in Nutrition from Acadia University (1994), with minors in Biology, Chemistry and Exercise Physiology. Research: Effects of Pre-Exercise Carbohydrate Feeding on Performance.
  • MA in Exercise Science from Indiana State University (1996). Served as Exercise Physiology Laboratory Supervisor for undergraduate exercise testing and prescription programs. Research: Strength Threshold Zones for Maintaining Independence in Later Life.
  • Employed with University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (1996-present) in the Department of Biology, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Introductory Lab Methods and Analytical Methods in Sports Physiology. Research: Lactate Clearance Following Maximal Cycling Effort; Physiological Profiles of Elite Male and Female Figure Skaters.

Present position at USA Swimming is Sport Science Network and Grants Coordinator:

Oversees the Sports Medicine and Science Network, High Performance Network, Grant Funding, Nutrition Education, Dietary Supplements, and Laboratory Services.
