Journal Of Swimming ResearchCALL FOR PAPERSJSR GUIDELINES- How To Submit an ArticleI would like to encourage you to submit papers to be considered for publication in The Journal of swimming Research. If you are unfamiliar with the JSR, I have briefly outlined its objectives below. The JSR is an official publication of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA). Manuscripts dealing with original investigations, comprehensive reviews, or brief reviews on the science of swimming and closely related topics, will be considered for publication. This journal is a researcher-to-coach, researcher-to-researcher publication, and information presented in the manuscript must be receiver-oriented. As a part of their membership privileges, all members of ASCA receive copies of the Journal. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts suitable for Brief Review papers that can be used for educating the nonexpert on a particular issue or problem. Brief Reviews will also be solicited by the editor or editorial board; however, solicitation is not a guarantee for acceptance. Readers and/or authors may submit a topic for discussion by experts in a particular aspect of swimming science. The question posed must be typewritten, double-spaced and no more than 500 words in length. It must be clearly developed and narrowly defined. A response(s) will be solicited by the editor or editorial board. Both the original question and the response(s) will be published pending approval by the editorial board. The JSR publishes annually, but may publish more frequently as a function of the number and quality of manuscripts it receives. An author guideline has been included for your consideration. A copy of a prior issue can be sent for your review if requested. If you submit an article for publication, please forward it to me at the address above. Thanks for your time and I hope to hear from you soon Sincerely, Joel M. Stager, Ph.D., FACSM
